Police Car Auctions
What are police car auctions?
Police car auctions are excellent places to buy very cheap cars at an auction in your area.
Most of the cars at the auction have either been seized by police from criminals, repossessed for non payment of fines or might even be ex police cars.
The police cannot keep hold of these cars in the yard because they would take up too much space so they get rid of them as quickly as possible and take whatever price they can get for them.
How to find your nearest police car auction?
Most people do not know about police car auctions, which is a great advantage for you because it means you will have less competition and more chance of picking up a bargain.
Police car auctions are sometimes advertised in your local paper, or if you ring up your local police station, they will sometimes give you this information over the phone.
But the easiest way to find a police car auction is by searching on the internet. There are loads of sites that can put you in touch with your local and best police car auction or if you prefer you could also find some bargains at a government car auction.
Some of these websites are free and some you may have to pay a small fee to become a member. These sites will generally have excellent information on them and you may even be able to view which cars will be at the auction through these sites.
It’s true; you can save up to 90%!
There are many rumors about police car auctions but the reality is that you can, under the right circumstances, save up to 90% on the retail value of some cars.
It is also true that you can get a car for $100. However, this might not be the best car in the world but I know of people who make a very good living out of buying these run down cars and either doing them up or stripping them down and selling the good working parts and selling the rest for scrap.
It is very likely that on an average day you will be able to save anywhere between 30-70%.
If you do like the look of a car, check its normal retail price in the Blue Kelly book, set yourself a maximum bid price and away you go!
